Danny Simon, co-founder of Lalchandani Simon PL, focuses his practice on the technology and healthcare sectors, as well as real estate related transitions, litigation, and compliance.  Simon represents numerous companies at all stages of their development, guiding his clients through complex negotiations and regulatory issues.

After joining White & Case’s Miami office in 2005, Simon left the firm for one year to clerk for the Honorable Stanley Marcus, Circuit Court Judge, on the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. After returning to White & Case’s Miami office for several years, he relocated to White & Case’s Silicon Valley office in Palo Alto, CA, where he focused on cutting-edge legal issues related to information technology, including data security, copyright, trademark, patent, and trade secrets.

Recognizing the growing need for advanced legal and compliance counsel related to technology and healthcare advancements, Simon co-founded the firm out of his commitment to provide clients with the high-quality representation and personalized attention they deserve, serving as an outside general counsel to his clients.

Simon is also an Adjunct Professor at the FIU College of Law, where he teaches a class in Public Health and the Law.

Education

Simon graduated magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago.  He was appointed to the editorial board of the prestigious Northwestern Law Review, which published his scholarly article about federal jurisdiction and preemption.  He was also a member of Northwestern’s National Moot Court Team, where he received significant recognition for his exemplary speaking skills. During law school, he also interned for two district court judges – the Honorable Patricia Seitz in Miami and the Honorable Ruben Castillo in Chicago – as well as the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois.

Simon earned his undergraduate degree in accounting, with a minor in economics, graduating with highest honors from the University of Florida’s top-ranked Fisher School of Accounting.

Personal and charitable work

Simon a member of the Florida Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), co-founder of ADL Action, a group promoting volunteerism within the ADL, and is the Co-Chair of ADL’s Miami Civil Rights and Advocacy Committee. Simon is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Bereavement Center, a South Florida charitable organization that provides free grief counseling to those in need. Simon also serves on the Board of the Health Information Project (HIP), which trains high school juniors and seniors to teach health education to their peers.

Simon lives with wife and sons in Weston.
